children died Norvalspont was, according to

Hobhouse, better prepared for the Boer prisoners. Make shift streets were seen. Tents
were numbered and erected in rows with dusty roads. Children were taught in a small
"school".

Vryburg
concentration camp A British concentration camp was created during the Anglo-Boer War. Graves of
victims that died of the many hardships of illness, starvation and cold, can be seen in a
nearby graveyard.

Uitenhage concentration camp
Nine persons died in this camp. The oldest was Johanna Nel, age 57 and the
Klopper baby of 23 days old. Of the 9 persons, 6 were children and 3 adults.
