Photo: Mrs Lubbe and her children during August 1901 in the Doornbult concentration camp. In spite of many problems the Boer nation always tried to upheld their cultured education.

According to official statistics 250 people died in the camp. No statistics  are available for the period before 1 August 1901. This fact as well as the graves outside of the graveyard and the fact that more than one child per grave were buried, shows that the statistics is possibly much higher.
